And here we are dying of heat. Mother nature is out of control!
Yesterday was our scheduled run after work. My boss is hardcore and is willing to run in rain or shine, so she gave us the option of running after work in the heat or waiting until today. Stupidly Surprisingly, most of us said we'd attempt running in the heat. We were all dreading it, but mostly wanted to get the run over with. Running in the heat is very hard and I find that it really hinders my breathing. However, my run yesterday was actually pretty good! The last 6 minutes were tough, I felt sooooo hot, but breathing was fine. I didn't run as far as I have been, but considering the circumstance, I think I did pretty well!
My first 5k is in 20 days!! I'm still really nervous about it, but I'm confident that I can complete it :)
I think you're going to do great! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll have to push myself hard these next 3 weeks, but I know that I can do it :)
DeleteAnd I thought our bi-polar rain one day super sunny the next Oregon weather was crazy! Good job on running, even in the heat. Your 5k will be great!
