Weekend Recap!

I really focused on staying on track this weekend, counting my calories and allowing myself some treats. And guess what? It worked! Imagine that!? ;)
I hopped on the scale this morning to make sure I didn't do any damage and I was actually down a little bit! As I was getting dressed for work I noticed that my pants felt a little more loose, so I dug out my measuring tape. I always find it hard to measure myself. I can never remember exactly where to hold the tape measure to get an accurate reading, but it looks as though I'm down an inch or two around my waist. 
Needless to say, it was a good start to my week! :)


I allowed myself to indulge in a few treats this weekend and I think that was the reason I was able to stay on track. I made myself a small homemade pizza on friday (and saturday, it was good!) followed by a small bag of mini eggs. Saturday I made some delicious low fat banana chocolate chip muffins from the best site ever www.skinnytaste.com and only ate 2! Sunday my boyfriend and I cooked dinner for his mom, Fajitas and no bake cheese cake. And after all of that, I was still down on the scale this morning! It was a great reminder that you don't have to be on a strict, limting diet to lose weight. 



My weekend overall wasn't too exciting. I relaxed and enjoyed the peace as the next many weekends are going to be busy! 


I spent some time outside in the lovely weather. I cleaned the house and getting it ready for my mom's visit tomorrow and yesterday we spent the day at my boyfriend's parents and cooked them a fantastic dinner. I also finished a painting that my friend was giving to her mom for Mother's Day...

Apparently her mom loved it and that's all that matters :)

  1. I have a hard time taking my own measurements too. I never remember exactly where I took them last time. LOL :)
