Here goes nothing!

I love reading blogs. 


I need to lose weight. 


I must stay motivated. 


Why not start my own blog? 


I've been throwing around the idea of starting my own blog for a little while now. There are so many amazing blogs out there and some very inspiring women! I would love to become an inspiring women that other girls, just like me, will come to for inspiration and motivation. 


Last friday I weighed in at 264lbs. In January I weighed 279. I intend on posting my weigh-ins every friday to keep my self accountable and invite anyone else to join me! I'm hoping this blog will give me a kick in the butt to keep going and lost this weight once and for all! 


I've never, EVER been a "normal" size, so it's hard to determine what my ideal weight would be. I would love to see 150 on my scale one day, but I think I will re-evaluate that number once I hit Onderland. My first mini goal is to see the 250's and not enter the 260's again!

I'm still trying to figure out this whole blogging thing. I'm a Graphic Designer, so I should be able to navigate this a little better than I am. I'm a little ashamed to admit that I am a designer... my blog is definitely lacking in the design department! But I promise to make it more pretty once I get a better feel for it :) I also feel the need to mention that I am in no way a writer! I may be artistic, but I lack in the creative writing department... so bare with me, please!

  3. Hi there! I just found your blog and it looks like we have a lot in common. Even though I'm a little older than you, (I'm 40) my start weight is exactly the same as you, 275.5 and I just started my blog too! Both blogging and losing weight are scary but you're right, the motivation to inspire others is what's driving me. Congrats on both!

    1. Thanks for stopping by! I'm starting to get the hang of blogging, but it's definitely something new for me. I find it very motivating and it's nice to know that people are rooting for me :)

  4. Good luck to you on your journey! I like that you are keeping an open mind about your goal weight. I was very set on a goal weight of 145 but I was failing at maintaining which was really discouraging ... so now around 155 is more maintainable for me for now. Its always hard to know where your "natural weight" will fall. (And for me its higher after having kids and getting into my 30s ... doh).
